I know this vid was made 7 years ago, but I keep coming back to it every year as yet another spring strap has broken. Thankyou 👏🏼👍🏻

Thank you for making this video. It was so hard to find out how to repair this specific problem on any of the trampoline seller sites. This is perfect!

Thanks so much!! If we only use trampoline inside, which material is tougher and lasts longer: nylon or polyester? A nd you said seatbelt webbing? Where do you find these small pieces of cloth? Thank you!!

Great video, very helpful. I need to fix several of these. I may have missed it, but what type of thread do you use?
@spencerhall64758 жыл бұрын
So I just used what came in the kit with my sewing awl. It's a high tensile waxed thread.

My tore right at the seam (where the trampoline meets the outer fabric). Do you think I could sew that as well? It’s about 8” long.

Perfect video : For the last not the camera or angle could be better or explained better. Over all great video

Do you think it is possible to use just a regular sewing (thick for more heavy duty stuff of course) needle to fix it or would you not be able to do the lock stitch with a regular sewing needle? Trying not to spend too much money but if needed I will. This is because I need to sew on 5 ripped (completely or half ripped out) straps along with reinforcing about 6 or so more straps that are all about to rip. Approximately 12 in all
@spencerhall64756 жыл бұрын
It's probably possible.

Hello. This is of great help. Single mom trying to fix the trampoline myself. The link to the straps doesn’t work anymore. Can you please let me know what kind of polyester straps I can buy? TIA
@spencerhall64752 жыл бұрын
I’ve updated my links just now so please check and let me know if they don’t work still.

Yes, it worked. Already order the strap. Thank you very much. I will send a pic of my final work. 😁

Thanks for the video. My question is similar to Stephanie Ramirez's. How can I replace a corroded V-Ring where the fabric and stitching that holds the ring is not damaged? In other words, is it possible to replace only the metal ring and not have to bother with stitching a new strap? Of course, I'd have to pry the v-ring open a little to slip the strap through and then close it again. Would that work?
@spencerhall64755 жыл бұрын
David McGrath -H- yeah I think if you have big enough pliers then you should be able to. You would want to inspect it over time to make sure the new one isn’t pulling apart.

can u by any chance tell me how to replace the 🔺 rings on the trampoline mat
@spencerhall64757 жыл бұрын
Well the D-rings do the job just fine whereas the V-rings are harder to source but if you did have V-rings the repair would be the same. Unless I am not understanding what you mean.
@kris4christ4 жыл бұрын
how long did that stitching last?
@spencerhall64754 жыл бұрын
kris r so I have only had one wear out which happened to be located directly under the sprinkler my kids had on the trampoline. So normal rain is a non issue. Sprinklers maybe depending how often. Either way that one lasted about 4 years.
