So...basically, im taking the tab under the screw on the new one and sticking on the old one? My wires are good and just need contacts. Is it basically what that is correct?

This seems like a great alternative to crowding over the engine to get to the back of the transom. After you completed this, any regrets about not replacing the whole case and wiring??

No sir. Works great I haven’t had any problems whatsoever. This is definitely the way to go.

@@jdcole1979 Sounds great, guess the only caveat is to make sure the problem isn't somewhere between the wiring. Thanks for sharing this, might save me a bunch of work ;-)
