Thinking of buying my first SIb in the spring, but I am struggling to decide between the Honwave air floor or the aluminium floor versions. Most of my fishing will be with lures so I am very worried about punctures to the floor in particular which suggests I go down the ali floor route. Would be very interested to hear why you chose the air floor over the ali version and whether you would buy another air floor version rather than ali, given your experience. Have now subbed as I find your channel very useful and one of the best on you tube.

Hi, Thank you! I'm really glad you find my channel useful! I went for the air floor as it is quicker and easier to set up on my own. It is also lighter which is important to me as I often go out solo, so it's just me having to drag it up the beach alone. I do however think that the Ali floor is a better choice for fishing as the flat hard puncture proof deck has many advantages over the V air deck. It was purely the ease/speed of setup and the lower weight that made me choose the air floor in the end.

You should use a 2 part glue, not a 1 part glue that's just going to fail in a year or 2 max

Thanks for the advice. I'll keep my eye on it and get a 2 part glue for next time. My first patch is over a year old and still good as new.
