How To Replace 120 AMP Alternator Fuse 2008-2016 Toyota Rav4 | Vavi Travels

This is not my normal content, but I couldn't find help anywhere on this, hopefully this helps someone out there.
We had a very cold winter and my car was not starting anymore, I changed the battery and the starter, but the car was still not doing anything after those, so we had to change the 120 AMP alternator fuse and it started right up

Trying to figure out if there's a fuse that would tell the voltage regulator to work.. not getting output from the alternator via multimeter to neg terminal on the battery. Pretty sure it's the alternator just wondering if there's anything dumb I could be missing..

Yes, This main fuse is needed to get power from the Alternator, Its stupid But its necessary.

Is it obvious when the fuse is blown? Removed battery to change a hose and reinstalled. Put neg wire on last but pos wasn't quite tight and when I jiggled it I got a small spark/arc. After starting car to test hose replacement, noticed battery light on in dash. Had 12.5 ish V at the battery but drops when turn car and electronics on. Looked at that fuse with headlamp but doesn't appear to be obviously blown. Thanks for any insight.

Its hard to tell its blown, I broke the cover from the fuse and tested power there Ended up rigging with a piece of wire for the time being.

​@kristopherhasenbuhler5393 Is that safe? The reason I ask is I've rigged mine and want to make sure it doesn't catch fire or anything crazy. It's obvious why the fuse blew, like an idiot I connected the battery backwards. I've popped the top off the fuse, pushed the leads back together and soldered them.
