Great video. I checked getting a check service engine light on my vehicle. I took it to Advance Auto to diagnosis the problem. Initially, they got a P0300 error code. So I took it to a local repair shop and had them put it on their machine. They diagnosed a misfire on spare plug number 5. I was able to use your video to fix the problem. Which saved me a few hundred dollars.

New to your channel. I am an owner of a 2007 GMC Envoy. Between yourself and 1AAuto.com's channel, I feel more confident in tackling maintenance projects around my vehicle. I have tackled brakes, replacing a driver side window motor, and a few other things. Thank you for your posts. My next project on the Envoy is to get the back glass open/fix the button.

Kevin great video. Appreciate the tool list, keeping the cam steady using a tripod and like the green book.. excellent idea! I've a 2006 chevy trailblazer I bought from a friend 7 months ago that now has just over 175k. He had regular service and work done since I've known him and was the original owner. Unfortunately since I picked it up I'm having check engine lights for multiple reasons since I've had it. I'm starting to wonder if the place he's used for 5 years did much actual fixing. Maybe it's just luck of the draw. Fortunately because of videos like yours and a few others I've been able to do what luckily are somewhat easy fixes. I'm far from a mechanic but at least I can still do some basic work on the trailblazer. Glad I found your videos.. so many the guys are shaky and don't give good details. I'll subscribe.

Thanks for the support Jim! I'm sure you'll have many good years ahead with your Trailblazer. Let me know if there is anything I can answer for you. As far as the check engine light, I'd suggest investing in an inexpensive OBD2 scan tool like this one amzn.to/37rtmiz (and go ahead and pay for the premium version of the Torq Pro app, well worth it IMO).

@@KevinNadeau HEY.... Thanks for the reply. I'm having a known misfire issue on #6 and have heard it could be tough getting it out. On the TB's and envoys the gasket that seals the hood against rain, gets pinched, or maybe cut?, but it fails, and a little water over time will puddle around coil area, or into plug cavity. Just an FYI in case you hadn't head about that. When I seen #6 wasn't filmed on your vid, I thought maybe the people crying wolf were correct about this one. I had even read about, rigging up (ruining. lol) a tool to get in there? Now I'm wondering if anything about the envoy or TB-(mine) are different in the firewall form, or I have just previously stumbled across several "vice grip mechanics" Never the less Good video, with clear instructions. I've only used a shop a couple times in my life (54) and that was on things I would just rather pay, because of the hassle of doing them, so this really isn't anything, as I have owned some junk when I was younger, and also built Bottom up, top down and dropped a 427 in a 87 Buick regal that never lost in a town of 40k. (senior year HS) For a few years now, I take some time and look through videos, before I do anything really, and see what issues may arise, grab a fist full of exact socket sizes, etc. But the little techniques you find people do is where the GOLD Is (IMO). Last month I swapped transmissions on my daughters car. After watching a video, you can see that the tail end has to go up quite a bit, once it is separated, and low enough to allow that torque converter to possibly slide off. 9/16 angled box end wrench held to bell housing, along with original bolt + washer, with angle leaning wrench towards converter tight. These little; !OF COURSE! findings are great. I'll come back and give you a sub, and check out some more of your videos. Thanks again for your reply. Man I get text chatty when talking about anything with engines or legs. Lol. Not knowing your audience, throw me a peace sigh if you would like me to edit that last analogy. He.. he. np.
