I have a 2022 KLR (less than 500 miles!) that exhibited bad fuel pump symptoms. I decided for the price to take a shot at rebuilding the fuel pump instead of buying a new one. I bought yours, installed it and it works! It now starts when hot. All I did was follow your instructions - it WAS easy. Thanks for saving me money and posting this excellent video. You can count on my business in the future.

This is now a recall. Good gosh I hope kid at the dealer doesn't have to do all that or my bike will be broke. Assuming the replacement (recall) pump is the whole assembly??

Hard to say. I think a very small percentage have had fuel pump issues at this point but it's just enough to make folks worry, especially on trips.

Hello, Admittedly silly question that I also posted to one of your other great videos BUT - Is there a trick to getting fuel line reattached to pump?? I pulled my tank off of my 2022 KLR recently and am in the process of reassembling. The clips on the fuel line refuse to close. Being plastic Im nervous about applying to much pressure to the the clamp to close. Curious if you have any advice?? APPRECIATED!

Also - Just checked recalls - Nothing for my bike. Perhaps this faulty fuel pump only applies to specific models?
