Great info but just to point out the B series wagon alot like the AU wagon doesn't have access panel to the pump/tank your "supposed" to drop the tank in the wagon same as the utes

what about cutting a hole in the floor above the fuel tank. ? then weld some tabs on the plate you cut out and use the tabs to screw it back in place ?

If only! Unfortunately Ford designed the chassis so you can't do that. There is a main cross member that goes right over the top of where the access hole is to the petrol, so if you cut a hole in your floor that's all you'd see. Clever.

How do you undo do and redo the fuel lines to the pump. ?

Yeah they are devious little critters, aren't they. And you're worrying you'll beak them. They have a clip inside the neck of the plastic fitting that has two tabs on it that lock over a lip on the metal fuel line. You insert a small flat bladed screw driver parrallel to the fuel line & up against it into the fitting to raise the lock clip insert ends out, From memory you can do them one at a time - or maybe you have to do both at once if my forget-ry is working overtime. Then you can pull the line off. The fitting just slides back on & clip locks in place when you are finished.

The Tub should have had an access panel from the floor to open and removed the fuel pump

Unfortunately that does not work, as the fuel pump is not only under the ute tray floor, but under a chassis cross member as well. Crap design!

looks like the donated fuel was from a "flood victim" possible...cant believe how dirty this was...run the car with some e10 to clean the system also these cars are ok using this..and imagine your injectors and fuel system

The FG is way easier. I jacked the car right up on stands, then dropped the tank from underneath. I put a Walbro 525 in it. No disrespect but that seem to be a lot harder than the FG.

No disrespect felt, as Ford changed their design between those models. The BA ute was a car they just stuffed up with that plastic fuel tank having a non-removable neck, and the chassis having a cross member going right over the top of the fuel pump access point. Their mistake - not mine!

The process to access the pump assembly in those utes are to drop the tank from the bottom via tail shaft removal and unbolting the axl and pushing pack on the leaf springs. I did the same this guy did on my Ute after the return hose had a broken clip from a mechanic upgrading my fuel pump.
