How to replace a bathroom vanity light

Removing an old fluorescent light fixture and replacing it with two new 2 bulb vanity lights. Complete process of removing the old light, cutting holes in the drywall and adding electrical boxes. Then running new Romex wire from a junction box to the lights. Finish of the project by patching and texturing the drywall then painting it to match.
Tools and items needed: a cordless drill/driver, a hole saw, a ½” spade drill bit, some plyers and screwdrivers, a hammer, a multitool, wire cutters and stripers, a utility knife, 14ga Romex wire, wire nuts, receptacle boxes, joint compound, drywall joint knife, texture spray, matching paint, paint roller or brush, and new light fixtures.
This light fixture is close to what we installed.

Overall, good how-to video. However, I would have used blue painters tape and some plastic to cover the lights before applying the texture spray. And, this is just a design choice, but I would put on much more stylish, individual mirrors over each sink. The lights now look great but the mirror looks builder-grade.

I was an electrician apprentice some 50 years ago in New York City. The electrical code there prohibited "burying" a junction box behind a wall and required surface access to the box. It's not a deal breaker for what your overall plan, but it would require a visible blank cover on your wall. Viewers may want to consult local building codes.

I wasn't sure about that one, not sure what else I could have done? My plan was to run the wire to one light and then the other, but it was too short. I guess they just want to have access to any wires that are connected together. Thanks for pointing that out.

Last year I redid my bathroom, and I had a light fixture to put up, so whoever did the bathroom 30 years ago put the blue box in crooked because it was a hanging lighted medicine chest there , anyway you never ever know what's behind a wall or what some idiot did.but I like your humor lol.
