I followed your steps and successfully replaced my Mazda 6's battery, thank you so much!

Time saver...just remove the negative cable and NOT the wire to the body. It will easily move out of the way. Also, don't totally remove the battery hold down bracket nuts. Just loosen both to the top of each shaft and it'll stay as one piece. Easy to remove and re-install. Also, one button touch button won't work after replacing the battery. Roll each window down and back up and hold button for 5 seconds. Thumbs up for this video...thanks!

it worked fine for me after i tested it luckily. I got one of the heaviest batteries at Orielys so hopefully it has the lead to last 5-7 years before i need to revisit this again.

Don't use power tools to connect battery terminals. Over tightening causes the battery to leak acid. Also negative terminal off first and on last.

Did you also get battery management system malfunction warning light? If so how did you reset this?
@IrishPikeHunter2 жыл бұрын
Did you have to do a dash light reset by turning wheel full lock left to right and window regulator reset by holding button for 3 seconds on up and down? The older mazda 6 this had to be done,the window reset makes the windows go up and down at one touch of the button ??

Interesting strategy to bring old battery with you, buy the new one and return core to make only 1 trip to Costco.

The earth cable should be the first AND LAST to attach, otherwise risk of shorting the positive to the body with disastrous consequences. Also I found that handbook was mileading about correct battery type, Mazda dealer not only sold the correct battery for ther car (using car reg.) but it was also a favourable price compared to other outlets.

I had to change the battery of my Mazda 3 2014 Hatchback model car myself. With the vehicle turned off, I disconnected the old battery and installed the new one like this video. Then I started the car. The car gave the SCBS malfunction error . I reset SCBS from the screen, but the same light is still on. How can I solve this problem myself? If I go to the service, it will be very expensive

I owned a mazda 6. The technician form mazda told me to reprogram the unit if the battery is replaced. Is the advice of the technician right?
@terryshort72784 жыл бұрын
Well it could happen. Best to get a 12 volt battery power source and connect to battery terminals before removing old battery

Eventually it will fix it self up so I have been told. I hate that auto stop thing anyway. He should have put a 12 volt power source onto battery terminals before disconnecting battery

That not the correct battery for i-Eloop. It should be a Q85. Sercch for the Mazda TSB E039/12....The Battery Part Number: PE1T185209U . Expect codes, short life and other problems if you don't install the Q85. Choose wisely !
@TheRealMeCoWhy5 жыл бұрын
My car is not equipped in i-Eloop, so I do not need q85. The installed battery is correct for that particular car.

Just a tip to anyone with the iEloop system, save yourself a ton of money by getting a third party AGM battery, any size 35 AGM battery will work just fine with the iEloop system, try Bosch, Duralast or Optima size 35 AGM battery, will be around $200 compared to $600-$700 at the dealer
