The bolts that hold the pulley onto the pump are M6 - you can use those to press the pump off the block. BMW thought of everything!

Put a little coolant on the pump o-ring seal and it slips right in.

No need to buy Chinese parts for your BMW. Buy a German OEM pump from fcpeuro for ~$45. It's probably a good idea to buy the ones with metal impellers rather than the plastic ones.

If the pump is loose does it mean it’s bad or are the screws just loose and I need to tighten it up?

Tough to say if something (like the bolts) may be stripped, or if the bolts were just loose. You'll likely need to add fluid after tightening.
