This vid tutorial is brilliant. The door lock had disappeared inside the machine. I thought the only way to get to it would be some major exercise, removing the front of the machine... or something horrible. Because of Covid19 Lockdown, to get a repair person was just not possible, and anyway would have been an £80 call out, then the work time, probably a part or whatever. So it sat broken for a month... more. Then I found this vid, and fifteen minutes later everything was fixed. Brilliant. 10/10 and will be sharing this site. many thanks etc %-)

Used this video to change my broken interlock on a Candy washing machine, dead easy. Mine has a plastic wire holding the door seal on but you just pull at it where the join is. I didn't pull all of the door seal off, just enough to get the job done and it made putting it back in place very easy. The plastic band is just a ratchet like a cable tie and make sure it's all pushed in to place then close the ratchet and tighten. I work in an office and always have and I found it easy and saved a nice bit of money too. Thanks

I solved locked door problem by pressing the door inside instead of opening it (towards lock position) after end signals for 15-20 seconds & later door opened easily

You didn't show how to fix door handle, cos the replacement comes in parts and wanted to know how to put back together. Have my door in parts , will have to try again tmoz and watch other videos .

I brought a new washer door lock assembly and latch because the washer would fill up with water, but the door would not lock causing the washer not to work. After replacing the switch on the door and the latch the door still not wanting to lock, any ideas? I've already tested the switch and it's fine. Help please I have a Frigidaire Affinity front loader washer.

You know you can just take two screws out and lift the top cover off right? You can then reach the door lock and either push the latch with a screwdriver if the handle is broken and you cant open the door or take the lock off that way. You don't need to remove the rubber drum seal at all.

karl m it's the door lock manual over ride.. the square bit of it goes over a little Lever piece on the door lock assy then runs down the machine to behind the kick plate. (I'm a UK white goods engineer)

Jill Mcdonald I'm a UK white goods engineer I've worked on hotpots for years you have to take the side panel off on the lock side unless you can access it from the top when the Lid is removed some models vary

Everything is made of Plastic, my Ariston has the door locked , watched a Video how to do the string method. Need a new lock , call out is almost the same cost as a new machine ,

How can I check the interlocks in washing machine the model is bosch logixx 9 varioperfect e-nr WAS24422GR/07. The code of the original door lock is 00619468. Contacts are 3,2,1 which bridge cables.because I understand I have problem with the washing machine if anyone knows let's answer thanks
