As the only other person who probably still daily drives this car, this video was very informative and helpful. Thank you.

You are not alone still driving a Vibe 😉

I got a 2003 Vibe GT 6 speed, revs to 8200 rpm with the Lotus-Toyota Yamaha tuned 2ZZ... better than the 80% depreciated p.o.s junks - 8 years on, still selling for same price.

I just bought this obviously as a used car and I try to do as much work as I probably can myself. I noticed that my ac will work sometimes, and then shut off, it blows cold and only blows on high. If you put it on the other settings it makes a clicking sound. Very confused and I am a full time student so going to a mechanic in the middle of Louisiana summer isn't the best cost efficient. Thank you for sharing your experience with this vehicle, not many people still have Pontiacs.

I'm looking at replacing my compressor, and I wasn't going to replace the condenser, just the drier, but I may do it anyway. Looks straightforward - with the radiator out of the way. Why in the world didn't you just pull the radiator? It looks like you beat the radiator fins up pretty good, and it's a simple job to pull and replace. (You probably need to flush the engine coolant anyway)

Was any cold air blowing at all? Or was it just blowing room temp air!? Don’t know how to tel if I have a leak or if it’s just broken..

I noticed that there was an oil residue on the condenser (indication of leak). When I placed my gauges the low and high ports there was 0 on the gauges (no freon). If the freon is low on your vehicle, it will show with your gauges. If you are guessing that the freon is low and you place more freon into system you could create more problems. I worked on another vehicle recently where there was freon but the compressor was bad. There are certain checks which you can make concerning the compressor. There are some answers on the you tube. Hope for the best, this heat is terrible when having to drive daily. God bless
