Ryan, you rock! Normally i wouldn't try to replace somethign like an ice maker myself. However your video is a 100% match for my fridge model. Your video is so good and detailed, that by the end i was able to half disassemble things, clean some ice, hit the reset button and now i see new ice. Now if my ice maker dies, i know already its part number and confident i can replace it on my own. Thank you very much for a great video!!!

Trying to remove it by pressing the levers on the sides and try to gently pull it out, but it doesn't come out! Help!

Hey SeattleSusieQ, sometimes it's stuck because it's frozen, see if you take a hair dryer and gently try to defrost the sides a little bit to see if they will thaw out a little. Please let me know if that works! Thank you for taking the time to comment, I really appreciate it.

@@MattoxRyan I tried using a hair dryer to try to defrost the sides. I couldn't make it work. At least not yet. Also, when I pull the levers, they stick in the pulled position. I am able to unstick them, but still can't remove the bucket.

@@seattlesusieq Susie, It sounds like your ice container is frozen to the door. My next suggestion is leaving the ice side of the fridge open for 10 min or so and also keep trying different angles with the hair dryer. Mine has gotten stuck before too because it's just so frozen. If you try to gentle wiggle the ice bucket side to side, do you hear any light crackling (like it's moving at all)?

@@MattoxRyan I tried leaving the freezer open for about 20 minutes. It's loose, but I cannot pull it off the door. I have my handyman coming on Wednesday to help.

So did it work? I replaced mine because the mould heater wasn’t working. Only to discover that the heater doesn’t work on the new one either. I think I need to replace a thermostat that I haven’t found yet….
