How to replace Beats SOLO & SOLO HD ear pads cushion

Just tried it today. I can assure you it works! Don't be afraid to pull real hard to remove the foam part.

For those of you who have the 1st gen beats solo's and have had the ear pad come away or even partially away, use UHU glue with a model aircraft paint brush there isn't much give on these pads so you really have to get it right first time and be very patient, first, if your pad is all the way off, find a suitable patch on which to apply the glue, remembering to keep the shape the same as the speakers (or you'll have very peculiar looking phones, the 1st gen phones do not come apart with a counter clockwise turn, DO NOT TRY THIS!! Once you have the start set, lightly go round the edge and add a generous amount to both the inside of the ear cup and to the headphone speaker also, use the small brush with an old tea plate so you may take off any clumps of dripping glue, have patience and you will have your earcup fixed in minutes allowing 30 minutes to dry, when drying, extend the earphones out to their full length and place over a football to help them stay in place Peace

The glue is on the ear pads joints , it took me 2 hours to separate the pads's plastic frame , i don't know how you did it so quickly ....

A good tip is to put you 2nd finger inside de ear pad to help you have more grip and remove more easy, mine was the first time I removed the pads and the cc tip for remove the glue and what I wrote before helped me a lot !! Thanks !

I still have mine from years ago. I got it when it first came out and it still works fine no problem. You probably never cleaned it and dirt managed to get inside the headphone jack thing. Ear muffs are known to eventually wear out. Mine are alright and still can last a while. Plus make sure your Beats are original and not fake. You said the quality is terrible and Beats are generally great. The sound quality is great too. I recently got Beats Solo 3 because I wanted wireless and it’s perfect. I’m still gonna keep the Solo HD because again it’s really great. The only issue I have is in the head band thing. It comes off but I just put superglue and it’ll be fine for a while. The new Beats like the Solo 3 is amazing. It’s so good and strong and the quality is even better. I suggest you checkout long term reviews before buying any headphones. But Beats have served me well.

I'd have mentioned first to be careful not to damage the foam thats on the head phones . I started before you got to that part and slightly damaged mine. Not too bad though. Maybe these are old and the foam is starting to disintegrate a bit. Otherwise,a helpful video. Thanks.

It's gotta be different because we don't have Dravers behind our pads, just cheap glue, I just super glued my new pads on, well Gorilla glue, not too much, and it's working fine, much better than their cheap glue
