I really appreciated this video. My shoes are s10 or more years old and still good. I didn't want to throw them out. It was hard for me to follow the instructions that came with the replacement parts and so appreciated to see it " in action". thank you so much !

Glad the video helped. I totally agree the first shoe I did off camera took several tries lol.

Thank you for making this video. We were trying to figure out how to fix our Cabela shoes that have the same laces. Then we stumbled across your video. :)

Glad it helped!! I’m sad that bass pro doesn’t honor cabelas lifetime guarantee, but I get it. Now I have to buy new boots because the soles came off. A few years ago I would just trade them in. Thanks again for the comment.

@@Hillsidechristmastreefarm I'm Niki's boyfriend. I actually have those EXACT boots. They're good, but useless without the BOA. I had the same experience at Cabela's - they said they no longer do their lifetime warranty on their own products and before they had up to a full YEAR on the 1st generation Merrell Mid-Reflex Smoke boots. Back in the day Merrell made them with Gore-Tex and they'd last 5 years or better. Now I can't get 1-2 years out of them. Anyway, thanks for this video - I just placed my order!

Glad to hear. I actually found a cheap pair of duck boots from tractor supply for like $20. They will hold me over until I can do some more research.

Nice , just purchased a pair of boots with the BOA lace system and was wondering how you would re lace them if they broke . Now I know . Thanks for sharing

I plan to keep Braided Spectra( .030” diameter)in my bag in case mine break out in the field 30 miles from home. Then I can use them like normal lace’s hopefully. When I return home, that’s what I can take a picture of the broken one and hopefully they’ll send me a replacement.

Makes total sense. When mine broke out in the field I used a rope to tie the top up it worked but wasn’t ideal. Having a cable to use in the laces would work better.

Very nice video. Just curious as to what camera you used to film. The closeup shots are very sharp.

Thanks for the comment. For the close up shots I’m using my iPhone 11pro max. For the other shots I’m using my GoPro HD Hero (the first GoPro made like 10 years ago). I really notice a difference in quality and I’m sure you do as well
