Always best to crack open the allen bolts before removing caliper as some might be tight and caliper will twist in your hand trying to undo them, Thanks.

Hi Dave. Thank you so much for this informative video. It's so good to see it being done after first reading the Haynes manual. Please keep up the good work that you do. I've just acquired my GSX1250 FA as a retirement treat to myself. I absolutely love it.

Would it be possible to change pads without taking the caliper off, just removing the pin and the spring cap?

I’m sure you can but it’s nice to clean it all up, Thanks for watching my video and supporting me 👍

would you lube that cross pin or would that trap dirt? I'd feel better using a torque wrench on the caliper bolts myself. Having said that,the opposite caliper should save the day if it sheared off. Yikes
@martinpelaez86493 жыл бұрын
Cross pin thread only pin shaft of pin lube will stop pads moving so called freely ..

Can anyone tell me if the process/procedure is the same for a Gsx 650F, The brakes appear to be the same. I own a emaculate GSX 650F 2008 model none ABS BRAKES. HERE IN THE US THIS BIKE IS QUITE RARE AND PARTS AND INFORMATION ON THIS SIDE OF THE POND ARE HARD TO FIND AND PRICEY. SO I'M HOPING, SOMEONE ACROSS THE POND CAN HELP ME WITH SOME INFORMATION AS REQUESTED ABOVE THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND ADVANCE AND I APPRECIATE AND LOVE SEEING ALL OF YOUR BIKES AND THE COMMUNITY AROUND THEM THANK YOU. P.S ANY torque setting for any of the brakes mounting bolts or Allen or bolts for the guide pins. I spent 200.00 on a OEM repair and owners manual directly from SUZUKI it took 3+weeks to arrive and it in 100% Japanese. So PLEASE HELP ME IF YOU CAN!
