Alexey Gavrilov Yeah it is alot of stuff.....in my case it was a front end collision so had to do all that work anyways. In your case, its alot of extra work for no reason

Thanks for this helpful video, I will replace radiator and condenser by myself, it's easy to fill in the coolant, but I don't have AC compressor to vacuum and fill in the AC system! The question is can I just connect everything and fill in the coolant, then drive to AC specialist shop to fill in the AC system with Freon? Or I can't drive the car if no Freon in the system? I hope you will answer me. thanks :)
@gavrilovas16 жыл бұрын
you can drive with no freon but without ac its hard drive in hot climate.

You are supposed to put some AC (PAG) oil into the new condenser before you install it (not only on the O-rings but also in the condenser because it lubricates the system).
@gavrilovas110 жыл бұрын
thanks for the comment.. yes AC PAG oil is required but was not available.. However the vehicle ac runs great even without it...

How many hours does it call for because the Mitchell says 1.8 and there's no way I'm only gonna get paid for 1.8hrs

I changed the fans and I believe you can also change the condenser and the radiator without removing the bumpers. All you have to do is remove the bottom cover and it slides down pretty easily. It makes no sense to remove all those parts jest to get to the radiator.

Why does a 2 year old Mazda at the time need a new ac condenser? These cars are solid and well built. I have a 2010 and never had to do such a thing.
@gavrilovas111 жыл бұрын
no... you mistaken.... in this mazda it could be done only in a way how I demonstrated...

Is any one eve read this, you can take the radiator out of the frame and just remove the frame leaving the radiator on, so you dont have to remove any Hose except from the 2 gas hoses to the condenser.

So we followed the video to put it all back together and we have a plug in the center that has no where to go and don't see it on the video... help!
@gavrilovas16 жыл бұрын
electrical connector plug or something else, which one?
@steffanybarnes88226 жыл бұрын
I don't even know what to call it, it is a plug that is hanging like right in the center of where the hood lock is. It's attached to a long black tube that stretches the length of the entire front if the car and clicks in. I'm not a good explainer...

Great video, but it's very bad to tip the Refrigerant can upside down. The liquid can damage your A/C system.
@gavrilovas19 жыл бұрын
Randy Lott No... you wrong... It can not if you know how properly to recharge your ac system...

Alexey Gavrilov I was mistaken. For some reason, I was thinking of another compressed gas canister application. There's nothing wrong with what you did. Good work!

I had to replace the condenser on my 2012 Mazda 5 (almost identical to the Mazda 3). As some have mentioned here, you can remove the fans and take it out the back (toward the engine), without removing the bumper. Much easier. There is a video on removing the radiator that has all of the same steps and was very helpful: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y4mmYpekeK2tY9k.

Excellent work! Automobiles should be made easier to work on rather then what you had to go through. Shame really... I did notice and this comment is only in fun and a cultural difference. Normally Ships, Car and parts in the U.S. are female while you call them male... Interesting... My wife is Rimma and she has called cars, ships and machines by male names? Interesting cultural event...

Alexey Gavrilov Originally Siberia but when she was young around 1968 they moved to Turkmenistan as her father was born there. In 2003 we met on the internet and decided to meet in Istanbul Turkey. It went great so six months later we went back to Turkey and got married. She and her daughter have been here since 2005 and have become citizens.
