HOW TO REPLACE CONDUCTIVE FILM DS4 JDS-030/HOME BUTTON NOT WORKING

For first-timer, its a bit difficult to disassembling DS4. try to be careful guys and you must make sure you buy the right conductive film for your DS4, because there are a bunch different version for DS4.
If you not sure what version conductive film you have, you can take apart your DS4 first and then buy the right one.
My Dualshock4 is JDS-030, I got from PS4 CUH-1206A.

Hi. I did this repair to my controller today. It would charge with orange light buy not switch on. Ordered 030 model film. When I took old one out it had corrosion on flex this was better visible when I put it up against a white background. . Great instructions now it works great. I would suggest buying the flex from a good company as eBay cheap ones don’t fit as snug as some other slightly more expensive ones. Any way thanks.

Hello please help me with jds-030. How do you stick the right part of jds-030 to the surface? Can I use glue or should be the double sided tissue tape? Because I had to pry open the right side of dualshock 4 to make it work it seems the conductive film is registering without me pressing the buttons.

have you tried testing the controller buttons with computer? when i tried testing my buttons with the computer, only my ps button doesn't work. because of it i'm sure conductive film of my ps button is kinda broken.

Hello there, I was using my DS4 for PC, im using DS4WINDOWS and tryin to connect via bluetooth, after that my DS4 wont connect to the PS again when i try it again to PC it had the same issue, then i try it with usb cable it light up, all button works just fine, but only the ps button not workin, so could it be the film issue? thank you Sorry For Bad English, English Isn't My First Language :(

What should I do with my controller? The L1 works but only sometimes. Sometimes it work will just fine, sometimes if you hold it it will stutter, other times it just won't work at all, a couple of days ago it wasn't working at all. You think it's the film that needs replacement? I switched the silicone things for the L1/L2 for the R1/R2 and the same thing happened. R1, R2 and L2 works just fine, everything works just fine (except for the the analog drift that has happened once, fixed it, but a new problem occured when I press down, it will just go left. *EDIT:*Problem seemed to have gotten worse as now it seems the Left Stick doesn't work at all and when I move anywhere in the menu with the D-Pad, it's moving left. Maybe it was a bad part that I replaced it with? Up-Down was working fine after I did the same thing with left-right...). Anything you think could fix the problem? I'll note that the film doesn't stick completely to the rest of the controller but I figure it probably does that anyways when I put the controller back. Thanks!
