that's great.. I am getting a fault code on my OBD reader P1072 mixture to rich,, could the ECT be the problem would replacing it solve the to rich mixture problem thanks

My car has been showing that the temp of the engine is running cooler than normal. Talked to a Volvo mechanic and they said to put the car in manual climate control and the engine should heat up, which it did but its back to doing the same thing. And I shouldn't have to take my car off of auto climate control and not have the car heat up because than it's the thermostat. But now, my check engine light came on and turns out to be "coolant temp low" So I guess what my question is, does the thermostat feed off of the sensor or vice verse. Sort of confusing to me. Thanks!

Thank you for watching. The Thermostat would be run off of the Coolant Temp Sensor. The thermostat holds the coolant back to heat up. The sensor watches the coolant and when its hot enough sends a signal to the Thermostat itself to open up allowing the coolant to flow. Hope this helps. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

I'm sorry, I didn't catch that quite well. I have a 2002 V70 2.4 140 horsepower NOT DIESEL, NOT TURBO CHARGED; this would work with it? My temp gauge is not moving at all, it stays down the whole time. Thank you so much, Master.
