P0017 or P0016 If you replaced all sensors and the code does not clear. Could be bad Sprocket

I believe he change the chain, following with the gear so that no double job on it cause if the gear worn with new chain,it will come out with the weird sound while driving.

Why was the gear replaced,trouble codes or noises? The engine looks extremely clean inside and well maintained don't know why the CVVT would go bad

The oil was pretty dirty so maybe there was a code that popped up that had to do with the cvvt. Usually when cvvt goes bad is because of lack of oil change

Hello a question, I have an elantra 2014 g4nb engine, 1.8, the wedge of the exhaust sprocke broke and the sprocke was replaced by one code 24370-2E000 and it did not fit, which you think would fit because I have seen code 24370-2E010 and I don't know if it fits or is that for that engine model.

24370-2E010 is the same part as 24370-2E00 you may wsnt to look up your vin number to find out exactly what engine you got….

Hi team i have a Hyundai Elantra 2013 GLS 1.8L my car developed ticking noise that seems to come from the lifters upon re-acceleration (remove your leg from the gaz and after few seconds try to accelerate again and the noise start to appear) any video that could show how to fix such noise.

As black as that oil was, I bet all they needed was an oil change. Dirty oil makes the cvvt system go nuts to the point the car stalls and knocks like something's broken.

Hay algunos modelos en los que se dañan internamente de forma prematura, suele notarse especialmente al arrancar el vehículo en frío, un sonido como traqueteo, a veces sucede por mal mantenimiento y aceite de mala calidad o que nunca se cambiaba tiempo y se obstruyen las vías y las ocvs no hacen bien su trabajo y pues no llega suficiente aceite al interior de los phaser/engranes y se dañan internamente.

Hola amigo yo tengo una Hyundai Santa fe con el mismo ruido al ensenderla en frío por 3 segundos le cambié el kit de cadenas y la bomba de aceite y siguió con el mismo sonido.Pudiste solucionar tu problema ?? Que hiciste

@@sergiomedina2469 esos modelos, Hyundai Elantra 2011-13 y Santa Fe y otros tienen una falla de fábrica que dejaron residuos metálicos en el eje del cigüeñal y los casquetes se desgastan prematuramente, es más probable que el sonido que escuchan sea el cigüeñal pero puedes con una manguera por ejemplo o un estetoscopio con punta (son para diagnosticar sonidos en vehículos, son muy baratos) descifrar si son por ejemplo 1 o ambas phaser/engranes de los árboles de levas pero por los modelos que mencionan, seguramente es lo del cigüeñal, puedes buscar la campaña de recall relacionada con ello, lamentablemente la reparación es cara pero si el tu país Hyundai si se hace cargo por recall pues es gratis.

@@luispozo1869 buenas sabes he escuchado que hay muchos casos con el mismo ruido en Barios Hyundai y todos Disen que es el engrane vvt el del sigueñal escuché de un caso que le cambió los dos engranes y arreglo el sonido .esos engranes son caros andan alrededor de 200 dólares cada uno originales bueno boy a seguir investigando y si no hay de otra le tendré que cambiar esos mentados engranes gracias
