How to replace door speakers in Hyundai Santa Fe

Great video. What size speaker did you use as the replacement?

I installed JBL kit Stage 600C large speakers are considered 6 1/2” speakers and the small speakers are 7/8” deep by 2 3/16”wide. I had to slightly trim the edge of the smaller speakers. This kit wasn’t super fancy but it was a huge step up from the original speakers. May I add that if your speakers currently have no sound you may want to check the wires in the rubber boot of the door jam. My speakers were not working due to bad wires within this boot but I’m still happy I upgraded.

It did. Thank you! Saves me pulling the door apart twice. Once to check the size, then again once I order the part. I couldn't find consensus online, with different places saying different sizes. Thanks!

Why you don't use filter capacitor ? Its very important to not distord the speaker

What's the difference between connecting the tweeters directly to the woofer vs to the existing wire?

I believe by connecting the tweeters to their own separate wires that the stereo would provide a little better sound quality. I have tried this before and you are able to adjust the treble much more when connecting to their own wires.

Male and female insulated wire connectors and also butt connectors all were 18-22 gauge

Hello Desmond, the year make and model in the description and also at 30 seconds into the video. The range should be from 2001 to 2006. Hopefully that is helpful.
