If you’re just changing the blue o ring, can you just pop it out without unbolting the Egr tube itself?

Question: I recently replaced my valve covers and reassembled my engine. But the EGR tube doesn't seat all the way in. Would this be a good cause of a P0300 code?

Can you clean the EGR tube with a carb cleaner or does it have to be replaced?

Don't do it this way, too much work. You don't need to remove the hood, cowl plastic, wiper arm assembly, hood shocks, way too much overkill A1 Auto, shame on you. You only need to remove the Cowl Body Arm going across 4 bolts. And do not need to reach behind to remove the egr tube from the pump.

Dude share your secret then. Right now I have the cowl, wiper system, and cross beam off the car and for the life of me cannot get to the backside bolt on the EGR closest to the motor.

Start at 4:50 if you’re only looking for direction new gasket/seal should be installed. There is a discrepancy it appears when it came out the seal/gasket was facing opposing direction. But I’m choosing to use the ‘reinstall’ direction because the uninstall could have been a recording mistake. .

+69 Dodge Charger Thanks for checking us out! If there is a smooth, metallic side and a composite side, the metallic side should be installed facing out, meaning toward the exhaust manifold. Hope this helps! 1aauto.com

How did you reach the bolts on the bottom of the tube? I've tried and I can't seem to reach them.

Informative but showing which way the tapered side faces would helpful. I've seen videos with tapered end facing firewall, flat end facing plenum and opposite installation as well.

My EGR tube was gloved up bad I clear it out with cab cleaner and used a drill with a wire brush and cleaned it out. Btw it’s hard to install the tube back on.

Nobody ever takes the time to dhow how the blue tube ring goes on the egr tube. Smooth side towards the intake or the side with the groove in it towards the ijlntake ?
