I did it like this today, and with my big hands it was easy. Really 3 min of work tops. Just make sure you remove the old bulb by using the attached plug. Dont unplug and then try to remove the bulb. Reinstall new one by plugging it first (test it) and then insert it by holding the plug. It's easy guys!

Great video as has just saved my over £60 if I had taken my wife's car to a Vauxhall dealer. The whole process only took me 20 minutes. the hardest part was putting the back cover back on.

Took me 3 minutes to get access to the filter box side bulb, and 50 minutes to get the actual bulb out. Freaking stupid design with clamps on something you cant really grab with your hand...

Great video, and a nice way to uncover a little scam: in newer models Opel uses tiewraps to hold cables, attached to...the same airfilterbox! And my garage claimed they replaced the airfilter...but that’s impossible without cutting all 8(!) tiewraps. Confronted, they didn’t admitted, but after cutting tiewraps and opening the box we found out this filter was the original one. We settled this matter with a bottle of whisky. Not a cheap one...

It takes also to read some instructions, but this is best video. Did the job in two minutes. No need even to take the fuse-box-cover of. With decent size hands. Though fly-fisherman, used to small hooks and nodes.

Some very useful clips of what's under/hidden behind the passenger (left hand) bulb cover. A small mirror and bright lamp/torch is essential for checking where the fiddly bits are (including those annoying clips). It can be done. Showed daughter who repeated all steps. Still needed more minutes (and a range of frustration words) than necessary. A key trick is to use your other hand, and turn it the other-way (e.g. left hand, palm forward to hook thumb under the wing to find that square hole that the end of the cover slides into - it's higher up than expected. The tab can be just seen squinting over the battery box with a strong lamp, etc)

Quicker and easier to just take the headlight clusters out. 2 T20 screws by the wheel arch, 4 x 8mm bolts along the top of the bumper, side of bumper then clips off then 3 x 8mm bolts on the headlight unit and you can easily pull them forward or take them out

I took me like 40 minutes to put it back. First you should put the backcover in the rear mould (it looks like a slot) and then press it on the bracket and fasten it with the wire. The backcover should not supposed to be loosley. You can use a hand mirror or the front camera of your smartphone as well. Just to check if you have fastened the backcover in the rear slot before you press it on the bracket.

May sound like a daft question, but I’ve tried for 40 minutes to get the bulb out on the passenger side. Is it supposed to just pull out, or do you have to twist it, you know, like a quarter turn or something? I’m a former midwife, but my hand is bruised to buggery! Going to have another go tomorrow, but maybe arm myself with some KY Jelly…..😅

you can spare yourself the work getting the airfilter Hose off, just unsrew the complete airfilter (3 srews AG the bottom ) and bend it to the side

Was in Halfords in Galway, Ireland today and the lad said he could put the bulb in but may not be able to put the cover back on! He recommended taking to a mechanic who'd take bumper off etc. I said fuck that I'd do it myself, it'd be a pleasure instead of trying to get that cont of a bulb out

Worst thing I ever did succeeded in the end. For the people who are confused how to take the light bulb out there are two little clips holding the light bulb in I used a little screwdriver to push in one of the clips and then the light just popped out. How I found out was using my camera to record the inside of the headlight. Good luck!.

Just push the bulb to the side and it unclips itself push towards Left on the passenger side and right on the drivers side, easier if the connector is still attached

OK, I removed the airfilter I can reach the back of the bulb and removed the connector. But I cant remove the actual bulb, because there is something like a clamb holding it. My hands can reach the bulb but the mounting is hidden for my eyes. How to remove this bulb clamb ? Any suggestions ?

plug the connector to the bulb again and then try to unloosen it with your fingers. It's easier to remove with the connector on it...

hi, you know, when you speak "left" and "right" in a car, it means the driving direction, not the side when you stand in front of the motor. right means the side where airfilter is in. ok?

Dunno why you didn't do it the even easier way and leave the plug on bulb apply pressure to one side it comes free from the light housing and then put new bulb in the connector and put it back in a can do both sides in 5 mins tops without even taking the fuse box cover off or the air filter out
