This video helped me tremendously. My mistake was putting the light back on the wrong way. The direction of the tabs - 7:40-7:50 saved me. Thank you!!

Yes. Best video on this. Summary points: the little arrow tab on the metal bracket must point down for the headlight (7:45) and the turn is like 10 degrees clockwise (8:00). The black plastic flange you hold to turn will end up horizontal. Also learned on my own that for the high beams, the pointy tab goes up.

thanks so much! this job took me 3 months to complete! first I had to design a tool to remove the cover to access the bulb. I used a piece of cherry hardwood and cut a slot with my 8" chopsaw. I could then use the wood as a lever on the fin on the back of the cover to produce the torque to release it. this sure is a tight space! the bulb was a b.. to get off, but with time, I was successful. the next challenge was alligning the bulb placement in the socket. neither of the last two videos I watched described positioning the tab pointing down as you do. this saved me at least half an hour. thanks. you're great!

Your head light assembly could possibly be damaged. Take a close look and be sure to align the tabs on the circumference of the bulb.

It could be possible that you are turning it in the wrong direction. Or it’s stuck for some other reason.

That part is the cover. If it is missing that’s one less step you have to do, however your bulb and headlights won’t be protected properly from the elements.
