Wonderful video - I changed out both of my low-beam bulbs in about 20 minutes. Between my fat hands and the tight spaces between the battery and wiper fluid container, I'm happy. Only difference between your video and my Hyundai is the notches on mine were both down, not up.

Replaced 2002 Hyundai Elantra with parts from 1aAuto. Love the videos, the simplicity and clarity. You will want to take the bulb out for the turn signal from your old headlight and place in the new one. Also agree it is easier to unplug the turn signal wiring after you have pulled the headlight assembly out. You don't have alot of slack for the wiring, but enough to pull it out and get your hand in back to press the tap and remove the wiring harness.

It's crazy how many previous owners destroy these assemblies out of frustration when they probably couldn't figure it out on their own. Especially the funky clips that hold the H7 lamps themselves (lowbeams). Good thing you provide this video to me and others! Thanks!

The adjustment screw was located in a SILLY place...but now I know. The rest I figured out by THIS IS CRAZY, MY BIG HAND WONT FIT BACK THERE deduction. And the NOTCH/tab of the lightbulb is a main key. Hell, that's why Im here. I bought the car & the guy had "replaced the headlights" - they pointed almost straight down!

I have a problem. I adjusted my low beams to be level but when I turn in the high beams they are ungodly uneven. Ones pointed down to the ground and the other is in the sky. What could be wrong?

It seems that no matter where I search, I can't find any tutorials on replacing the turn signal connectors. My turn signal for my 2002 Hyundai Elantra GLS is gone on the front driver side. The socket is missing entirely, along with the connector for it. No matter where I search, I can't find the part I need (connector) so I figure the best way to go about is rewiring with a new style of connector. Any ideas?

+Artyum When I have trouble finding the correct part at stores, or online, but I know exactly what I'm looking for, I like to swing by a few different junk yards. That's probably a part you could cut off of a dead vehicle in a yard and splice right into your own. It wouldn't be new, but it would probably work just fine. My headlights on my 2006 are cloudy even after sanding them. Are there other easy options besides replacing them?

Once you sand them down really smooth, you have to use a high quality clear coat spray on them. As soon as you do that, it will change from cloudy to clear.

How do you replace bulb on battery side? I can barely get a hand in there, I can't get the bulb release

I changed the headlight assemblies in 2004 Hyundai Elantra GT. The yellow parking lights do not come on with lights, but do work with turn signal activated. Is that normal?

They should be coming on with the headlights. You may want to check the headlight switch to see if it needs to be replaced.

Hey, question do you guys know how to stop the squeal my power steering belt has its a new belt and it's tight but is loud as anything it's a 2006 Hyundai Elantra GLS.

+LANKFORDx0553 Did you spray the pulleys down with brake clean before installing the belt? Sometimes you get a little grease, oil, etc. on the pulley and it causes the belt to slip and subsequently squeal really badly. It could also just be that the pulley on the pump itself is bad and not spinning as easily as it should. Do not touch the bulbs with your fingers wear gloves the oil from your fingers will get on the bulbs and blow them out

Interesting project; way too time consuming, really. "Don't touch the new bulb that's fresh out of the package!" Why not? I'm thinking I did a year ago, and that's why the bulb only lasted one year. The oil on the fingers affects the bulb? I remember when changing a bulb was: Reach in, twist, pull out, replace, done!

Absolutely! I’ve always read to wear gloves when handling a halogen bulb; otherwise the oils from your skin can weaken the glass and they could even explode at some point.

I beg to differ. I have a 2001 Hyundai Elantra. One has to remove this projection, intake tube off the top of the battery. Amazing how time consuming that all is.
