Sometimes it's the headlight bulbs that can cause this to happen. If they're a low quality bulb the seals may be bad on the bulb. You could try to dry them out and buy a new set of bulbs.

I they're newer headlights and came with bulbs. Dry them out and replace the bulbs with better ones. Sometimes they inspect these head lights before shipping them out and leave the test bulbs in them. The gaskets on them aren't the greatest and sometimes let the moisture in.

is this an oem product and can you change the regular bulb to a xeon low high bulb? Parents are older and need much better brighter light? if so... which would you recommend for this particular part. Thanks in advance....

Video helped me out. Many thanks, but them tabs are b****! I had to pry each one out with a screwdriver. Still haven't got them all back in, and I'm tapping them with a rubber mallet. They aren't going straight in? I'll try your filing suggestion next.

Is there a big difference when you jump to an '04 TC? Same darn condensation issue. Had it with my '01. Driver side.

Rather than using a file, put a large flat blade screwdriver in slot and pry back. Then while holding headlight assembly in position, pull screwdriver out and put in retaining slide.

My Town Car does not have tabs. It has small bolts. I got 3 out, and it wiggles some but does not want to come out. I can't find any help on this on KZbin.

On the 1998 Continental there is a plastic cover above the headlights/radiator that goes all the way across. This is held on by velcro. Just pull up to remove it. The headlight assembly uses only two clips on this model. Pull them up and remove them. Then the bulbs can be changed. No need to unplug the harness.

Great video. I have a 2000 Lincoln TownCar Signature series and need to replace both headlights. If I purchase the lights from 1A Auto does it come already with the wiring harness or do I need to transfer it over from the old one? Im assuming I will have to transfer the bulbs. Do you guys have an Ebay account?

I ordered the pair of headlights from your Ebay store and on the picture it has the wiring harness attached. I also called your customer service center and they said the headlight comes with a new wiring harness. You say here that I have to transfer other parts. I am aware of the bulbs but what other parts are you referring to? I'm a little confused.

you don't touch bulbs with your hands , the oil from your fingers will cause bulb to prematurely burn out . so take care of not doing this.
