What did you use to clean everything up? Love the video. I probably watched it five times before I replaced my fork seals.

Nice unboxing section in middle of this, do you recall where you got the headlight and mounts, those are pretty cool. Its been awhile now since you released this video have you installed them, how does it look on the bike? Thanks Mike

Hey Mike, sorry I think I bought them from revzilla but not positive. I’ve been totally consumed building a new shop studio so I can get back at the content. There will be more to come soon and the headlight looks great!

Does the plunger have to be taken out to replace the seal??? Reason I ask the Allen key bolt I have is stripped from previous owner….
@rebuildranch12252 жыл бұрын
Yes if you can’t get the Allen bolt out you won’t be able to pull the unit apart to get the seal out. Have you tried an old screw driver with a wide enough tip that you could drive it into the stripped out Allen bolt with a hammer and then use a pair of vice grips on the shank of the screw driver to turn out the Allen bolt.

@@rebuildranch1225 Nooo, but I’m going to try that tomorrow
@rebuildranch12252 жыл бұрын
If it comes out you have 2 options, find a new one, or cut a groove so you can use a large blade screwdriver to put it back in. A bit crude but it will get you going until you can replace it with a new one.

@@rebuildranch1225 finally got back to work on them… I guess I’m going have to get some heat on them. I can’t get either of them to budge one is stripped & the other is just stuck. This bike had been storage since 1998. Are they reversed thread???

Hi there I would like to know where you get your parts grom
@rebuildranch12253 жыл бұрын
Hi Douglas, that depends on what I can get locally. The closest HONDA dealer to me is 1.5 hour drive away so many parts I find online. There are many places you can get genuine Honda parts online. And of course there is Amazon, but be careful as many parts on Amazon are just resold by people who find them elsewhere then mark them up and resell.

How did you get the Allen bolts out from the bottom of the fork????? Yours was way too easy…
@D3athduo2 жыл бұрын
Hex Socket at any hardware or auto store on a ratchet. Use grips to hold the fork and then twist.
@lanepotter27304 жыл бұрын
How did you twist them off so easily?
@rebuildranch12254 жыл бұрын
Lane Potter, do you mean the top caps? If so, the best way is to leave the pinch bolts tight on the triple tree, take a wrench loosen the top cap, then remove the fork to complete the disassembly
