What is the gauge of the wire and/or size of those butt connectors? I am going to splice mine tomorrow when my connectors come in but was not sure if the wire is 14 or 16 gauge…

Make sure all your connections are solid thats all i can suggest Check everything you touched

Thanks for the quick response and helping me with this issue. I used connectors but car will turn but not crank. Which one is the ground wire? My wires are exactly like yours. Also another thing I noticed was the battery is still getting juice/spark without the car being on. Do you have any idea what could be the issue?

Check engine light ON? If so, connect a scanner to see what codes it gives you

Ok, so this is the only guy who is connecting them directly, as opposed to removing them and then rewiring ? I’m so confused cuz I thought that’s why they leave such a long tail on them- to connect them directly?

The reason I spliced them is because the owner did not want to buy full harness Also usually the connectors are damaged or broken so you get a pin removing tool to replace connectors only In this case someone else cut the wire and tried to rewire them incorrectly causing wires to touch since were exposed and going to incorrect wires

But how come every other video shows them removing the clip and connectors carefully having to do that for each one…when the wire the harness comes with appears to be long purposely as to crimp them together? Can they just be joined up without having to be soldered? I just can’t figure out why ALL of the other videos make it so much more than what it should be? Unless I’m missing something…?
