Those taps that hold the battery down break so easily unfortunately. Broke twice on me on two different remotes.

What if after changing the battery and it doesn't work? What could be the issue?

The only other thing is. that it also depends of the age and type of battery used to replace the one that's not working. if that doesn't work probably need a new remote. in my case it was the battery.
