Dude thanks a ton. I’ll be replacing the complete LCA assembly soon and it saves so much time not having to guess socket sizes and look up torque specs.

As usual, my go to reference for anything LC100!

Thanks for video. We used a 48mm od sleeve from push-pull bushing kit. 48mm was fractionally oversized so once the bush started moving we dropped to 46mm sleeve. Initially the 46 mm sleeve scued off line so that’s why we went to the 48. We used threaded 18mm high tensile rod and stripped thread twice so that tells you how much force was required to get them out. As stated the bushing when removed and sanded makes the best sleeve to force other bushing out. Glad we are finished thanks to Paddles👍

Awesome. I’ve added a bushing press tool kit to my website with instructions on how to do this job. It’s a pain but with a torch anything is possible

I noticed that you mentioned this particular vehicle was still equipped with the AHC system. Did you have to bleed the pressure off of the system before disconnecting the “shock”? Really liking your channel, keep up the good work my friend 👍🏻

I did not release the pressure no

Thanks for this amazing videos. I'll have questions later in the comments.

Do u also open or loosen the other end of the torsion bar on the rear side?

Super helpful video, thanks! Looking to do mine and was worried the lowers were cam bolts
@cruiserpatch Жыл бұрын
I would gander that the cams were put on the top since the LCAs have the torsion bars mounted to them

I’m having trouble putting the LCA back. What order did you install it back in? Did you have to remove the axle at all?

Ugh I’m stuck at the torsion bar mount I CAN NOT get that thing to move. Any tips?

How are the 555 ball joints doing after a year and how HD are they for taking a hit or a few more new viewer from the former UK
@cruiserpatch5 ай бұрын
I’ve replaced one of them since this video because the boot tore and filled with mud but any joint could have had that issue. So far they’re great! No complaints

Lies! No part of this was as easy as your video made it seem. We will discuss next time we are together

How did you press out the old bushing in the arm? It seems the most difficult one
@cruiserpatch Жыл бұрын
i made a tool to do it. it’s on my website. they’re out of stock right now while i’m waiting on the next batch

How do you like the new bushings? And how come you didn't go with Superpro instead? i figure with your extreme offroad those would be a better fit.
@knightboy003 Жыл бұрын
I just realised this isn't your lc, haha, So i guess you did go with superpro on yours.
@cruiserpatch Жыл бұрын
The rubber bushings are very comfortable on a stock rig but they deflect way too much for off-road use. I run the superpro poly bushings and enjoy the tight steering. It’s much stiffer but it can take abuse better than rubber
@Cortheawwtist Жыл бұрын
Hey man do you have a part number from super pro for the frame bushing?
Yea just smack the new LBJ back in. No big deal 😂 I’m trying to install it with the LCA still on the truck and it sucks. The clamp isn’t big enough to fit all the parts to press it in so I’m just hammering away!
@cruiserpatch11 ай бұрын
yeah the hammer method really only works with the arms out of the truck
