How to replace Mustang 2005-2009 OEM steering wheel trim pieces

Found some used ones on the Bay of E for $60, decent condition and far cheaper than new ones! Thanks for the video - wasn’t sure if it would be as easy as it is but you put it together nicely!

I have a 2007 V6 with pony package - comes with chrome plastic trim pieces. When you removed the plastic trim, do they need to be replaced or can the wheel be "trimless?" I couldn't tell by looking at your video.

New trim pieces are hideously expensive. 😡
