The most common parts to wear out on the NIMCO joystick control are the manual control cables, the aluminum triangle joint, and the joint ball pin, which the joint pivots on. This video gives directions on how to install the new replacement NIMCO joystick parts.

Directions for replacing parts on NIMCO joystick control:
1.) Using a 5mm Allen wrench, remove the screw holding the pivot pin in place. This pin is anchored in the very bottom of the NIMCO joystick base. This allows the pin with a ball on its tip to be pulled up out of the joystick housing.
2.) Release the control cables by loosening the black stop screws located in the sides of the joystick black plastic box base. This allows the joystick cable ends to be pulled up through the base.
3.) Lift the joystick handle, pulling the triangle aluminum joint, along with the loosened cable tips and the released pivot pin, up and out of the square base.
4.) Slide the balls of the cable tips sideways out of the sockets on the triangle joint. These pull out very easily.
5.) Pull the ball of the 2-inch joint pin out sideways. This requires a little more force than the cable tips, but can be done without tools.
6.) Discard whatever pieces are worn--the aluminum triangle joint, the joint ball pin, the cables--or a combination of these.
7.) Slide the white ball of the 2" joint ball pin into its socket on the triangle joint part. This takes some force but can be done by hand, without tools. Slide it in sideways and straighten the pin so it is pointing down, away from the joystick handle.
8.) Push the white balls on the tips of the cables sideways into their grooves on the triangle joint part. Holding the cables so the balls don't pop out of the joint, slide everything down into the joystick base. Make sure the 2-inch pin sits firmly in its spot, and that the joint is level.
9.) Tighten the two stop screws located on opposite sides of the black joystick square base. This anchors the cables. Jiggle the metal part of the cables projecting from the base to make sure they are anchored well. They should not move at all in the base.
10.) Replace the screw you previously pulled out of the bottom of the joystick base. Tighten it so that it anchors the joint ball pin firmly.
11.) Move the joystick left and right, making sure that it pivots cleanly on the joint ball pin, and that the cable tips are moving up and down smoothly.
12.) Slide the rubber boot down the joystick handle shaft and fit it around the joystick base.
Your NIMCO joystick with cables is now ready to be re-installed in your tractor.
The NIMCO hydraulic joystick control is used on many tractors to control add-ons like loaders, mowers, etc. This is the OEM joystick for Koyker front end loaders. It is also used to control some Westendorf loaders and Alamo mowers. The joystick is used on a wide variety of tractors, including John Deere, TYM, McCormick, International, Case-IH, and New Holland tractors.
The pin with the white ball used inside this NIMCO joystick is the same replacement part used with several OEM joysticks used with Massey Ferguson, New Holland, Quickie, and Bush Hog loaders. In some of these cases, the joystick does not have "NIMCO" stamped on it, but some of the internal joystick components are the same. This 2-inch pin with a white ball on the end is a widely used part inside a range of OEM joysticks. These are the specific MF tractor and loader models that use a joystick that uses this pin as an internal joystick part: Massey Ferguson Tractors 5425, 5435, 5445, 5455, 5460, 5465, 5470, and 6480. MF front end loader 800 Series (831, 841, 844, 845, 846, 861, 862, 863, 864, 865, 866, 867, 869, 871, 872, 873, 874, 875, 876, 877, 879, 894, 892, 893, 894, 895, 896, 897, 898), and 900 Series loaders (920, 925, 930, 935, 940, 945, 950, 955, 960, 965, 975, and 985). The Massey Ferguson OEM part number is AL5020374.
Bush Hog loaders OEM Part Number is 5020374.
New Holland joystick parts PN# is LDR5020374.
Quickie loader joystick parts part number is 5020374.
