I actually liked watching & saving your video. No bs background annoying music, no side commentaries or meandering from subject. No inserted useless videos, memes & jokes. Like those found on Scotty & many others. Straight to the point, excellent video, diy. Added to save list.

Fantastic video! very detailed, and thanks for including torque specs.. Will be doing this in the next week. Is it usual for one to replace all the mounts at once? look forward to watching your other videos showing those.

Hello! That’s a good question, I’d say it’s a good idea to do them all at one point. The various mounts will wear out fairly equally as they perform similar jobs in terms of bracing the engine / transmission. Thanks for watching and I’m glad you found the video helpful! 🙂

Thank you for the excellent video! I have a correction to offer. For the first-generation Forte (2010-2013), the torque specifications are: * The three bolts to the engine mounting bracket (the part closest to the engine): 36.2 ~ 47.0 lb-ft (the same as the three bolts on the plate that attaches to the chassis). * The single bolt connecting the mount to the bracket: 47 ~ 61.5 ft-lb. These values are sourced from the Kia Service Manual, as there can be varying numbers found through online searches.

Did the two mounts that you outline in your videos. Transmission and the one below the steering fluid res. I can't find a single video anywhere describing how to do the other two on the first Gen Forte. Did you ever end up doing them? In one of your videos you eluded to the fact that you were going to do them in another video.

Hello! I did end up replacing the front lower mount, but I haven’t gotten around to editing the video yet. Hope to have that edited and released in a few weeks or so. Unfortunately I couldn’t do the remaining 4th mount, as the car is my friend’s and I moved away.

Thanks for posting. I have a 2015 Kia Forte LX. Do you have any work done on this particular model?
@theautochap Жыл бұрын
Hello! Unfortunately not on that particular model, but the online manuals state that the 2014-2018 models also have a similar process of mount replacement like the one I show in the video. Hope that helps, and thanks for watching! :)

Brother I have question my supplier gave me this mount part no. is correct but the the top rubber is high and the supporting bracket too low to mount on it. I don’t want force, or do I need to press down the rubber bolt for the new mount?
@theautochap4 ай бұрын
You shouldn’t have to press down on the rubber to install it. If it doesn’t seem to fit without excessive manipulation / massaging, I would double check the part number and also compare it to the old mount if you have it off.
@mirzaali68694 ай бұрын
@@theautochap I have research and study. So basically the right mount is originally in the above position for the rubber to slide down, in case the bottom 2 mounts worn and the engine lowered the right top mount secondary function is to show that the level the engine drop. So as to say a new one the bolted rubber will be to the top end. Used or worn will be lowered naturally as mentioned above. I have picture of the new and old mounts. Thanks for replying. Reply if u think untrue or agree thanks brother.

Tried torquing the actual mount bolt on top of the mount to 72lbs and it snapped. Was told that's not the correct torque. Can you verify for me please?
@theautochap Жыл бұрын
Hello, Here is the link which specifies the torque specs for all the engine mount fasteners. The range for the specific bolt you are asking about is 65.1-79.6 ft-lbs, so you should be able to use anything in between those numbers. www.kifomanual.com/engine_mounting_components-211.html Hope that helps!
