Of all the videos detailing this repair, this is the best by a long shot.

Thanks for the video. I just tried this and totally failed. I couldn't get solder on the individual pins and ended up melting the plastic on the new usb port in the process of trying.

Nice video. It did learn me I got to have more patience. But I am wondering what temperature you are using for your heatgun when removing the charging port. Also what temp on the soldering iron?

I did it the lazy man way. First I covered circuit board with aluminum foil only exposing the USB port. Then put the board on the edge of the table and something on top the board so that it wouldn't move (nothing too heavy). Then using heatgun and 1cm nozzle I heated the board from below while holding the USB port with tweezers and slightly pulling it upwards. Once solder heated up enough USB port just popped right off the board. I also heard strange crackling noise and noticed that I was accidentally heating up the table too so maybe better be a bit more careful with that phase so that you won't burn your house down. Then I just put new USB port in place and heated it again from below while slightly pressing USB port down. Once solder heated up enough port snapped in place. As a hindsight I propably should have added a bit more solder to the pads and bent those thin copper wires on new USB port down a bit before heating it in place to make sure they have good contact. As those wires seemed to be pointing a bit upwards when new port was in place but I didn't have thin enough tip for my soldering iron to add solder afterwards. But mehh, whatever as long as it works and tablet now seem to be charging fine.

I did notice that tablet is not recognized when I connect it to PC so apparently all the pins weren't fully reflowed.

its better to use solder pump to remove the exess lead on your pcb, its much faster and easy to do

using the right soldering iron tip works wonders too. would have been much easier with a chisel tip, the pcb on these is so thin it should have been way more easier than it looked.

if you have bridges, this is not the way to remove them
