Thank you. This video helped me do it myself at home and save some money. I'd like to add, the snap ring pliers I used were 9" with a .09 size tip. The 30 dollar 12" .125 tip were too big.

Thanks Ryan. I just replaced the purge valve on my 2017 T680 following your instructions. Hardest part was getting the clip back in. The nylon o-ring on mine was split so I'm guessing that was causing the leak.

If anyone else reads this. After watching this video I replaced one on my bosses 2005 Peterbilt. The main thing is having a heavy duty set of snap rings pliers to compress the ring. Perfect video for this job.Normally my boss doesn't let me fix stuff. Not because I can't. Just because he is a worrisome guy. Saved him a few days of a truck at a truck shop and a couple of hundred dollars. Enjoy.

Perfect video🤙🏼 can you tell me what symptoms the air dryer was giving you? Mine keeps throwing air out the purge valve, someone said it could be the whole air dryer system which I doubt. What say you?

Make sure all the air comes out!! Drain all the tanks and keep hitting the breaks until the air gauges are at 0 and you do not hear air when pressing break.

Looks easy. Ensure you don’t roll the seals. You willl get stuck in the middle of the road!! Do not purchase a aftermarket either.

Good video, my 2015 t680 will take approx. 10 to 20 miles to adjust for the difference in weight concerning trailer height between drive tires and trailer,found no major leaks , leveling valve is adjusted correctly, what is with this delay in adjusting to a heavy load. verses a light load

If u can’t pull it out ! Mine was very old and frozen in , so I drilled a hole, put a screw in, use a hammer nail side to pull it

My issue is i have to accelerate to build up my air pressure. When im driving my tanks go way pass 120psi. When i let off the gas, eventually my low indicator warning sounds off. I have recently changed the air dryer. I can hear and feel air coming from what it seems like the same area that you replaced though. It never purges either. Any idea?
