How to Replace Solenoid on John Deere Riding Mower

La175 slow to start. Now im having to put one end of charger on negative battery terminal and positive cable to the starter, using the 200 amp engine start setting on the charger. All other controls work as they should. Any thoughts?

my plug can be plugged in two ways. Does it matter if the plug is upside down? Probably not but thought i would ask.

What is the purpose of that solenoid? My Carb is flooding out and filling the intake with fuel.

The solenoid is what opens and closes to allow the correct amount of fuel into the carburetor.

@@Nozzlejockey2 The solenoid is energized when you turn on the 12V DC power with you key. A plunger retracts to allow fuel to go through. When the power is off, the plunger returns to its expanded position to seal a hole that allows gas to flow.

@@timguy161 what I am getting is to much fuel at idle, i can see in down the throat of the carb. like the floats are stuck open.

@@Nozzlejockey2 So, was it the fuel solenoid? I'm having the same problem as you mentioned. It's like it's flooding out and when I let go of the choke it just dies.
