So there is no compressing/removing of the spring? The replacement strut comes with a new spring as in the video, correct? and thanks, simple, easy video to understand.

Can you do this without a torque wrench? Can I just install, tighten, and drive the half mile to my mechanic who I have to go to for an alignment after this anyways.... And he can check the torque is right?

On mine, the two bolts are on the inside of the car in the area where the top folds into. But I don't have caps over either hole. Is that important?

Take the rubber cap off that he shows in the trunk and try to spin that nut with your hand if it turns with just your fingers you have a broken strut bolt inside rattling around and need to replace the strut.
