How to Replace Studs on a Wheel Hub for a 2014 Ford Explorer (Also Model Years 2011 2017)

If you've been scouring the Internet looking for a way to replace your studs on a wheel hub for a Ford Explorer then search no more.
In this video, I've gone thru the issue damage done to my studs, what generally needs to be done, and then followed by a step-by-step video walkthrough from beginning to end.
I hope this video helps you, as it took me a while to find enough good information to do this. Plus hopefully this will help you prevent from making some of the mistakes I made.

Below I am include the needed torque specs that I used based on my service manual and contacting Ford. Just remember, this is for a 2014 model year ford explorer limited with heavy duty components. There is a difference. Also pay close attention to the torque ft-lbs vs in-lbs.
Ford Torque Specs:
Note: One foot-pound (ft-lb) of torque is equivalent to 12 inch-pounds (in-lbs) of torque. Torque values below approximately 15 foot-pounds are expressed in inch-pounds, because most foot-pound torque wrenches are not accurate at these smaller values.
Torque Specs: Ft-lbs (unless otherwise indicated)
Driveaxle/hub nut (Front and Rear) 258
Brake line banjo bolt (Front) 35
Caliper mounting bracket bolts
Front - 2013 and later models 122
Caliper mounting (guide pin) bolts
Front - 14 inches discs 55
Metal Splash Guard 133 in-lbs
Wheel hub bearing bolts 122
Wheel speed sensor bolt (ABS) 133 in-lbs
Wheel lug nuts 100

my 2012 has a notch in the hub housing. I was all prepared tear everything down when I saw it. Just behind the caliper bracket. I was able to knock out the broken studs and hammer in the new ones. 15 minute job!

Nice I tried but couldn't get them out since they were snapped off and had no angle to remove it. Without going through what I did.

I ask this thing how to change a wheel stud on the passenger side of a 2012 edge he got all the way to the point of pulling the spaniel then he skipped that

It's actually much easier than this, you don't have to take the brake caliper off, the only thing you have to take off is the wheel, there is a spot on the brake caliper where you can take the stud out if you position it right. Then you pressed in with some larger nuts and one of the nuts from the car, or you cut the nut too and then it will screw all the way in.

the stud is too long and wont clear unless you remove the hub bearing... i fought with this all weekend and hub wouldn't come out and i tried every possible way i could to fit the stud past everything and no go

Yes there is spot. U can clear the busted nut by a cut off tool then insert the long stud in the prcisely in the slot ( 16:12) But u have to hammer the long stud in. It wont clear easily.

sucks you gotta remove the hub... i had one break on my 16 taurus and hub was too seized on so i guess ill live with 4
