How to replace the battery of a YAMAHA SPX 900 - repair - german DIY Tutorial

Heute mal die Batterie aus einem alten Yamaha Hall getauscht.

Thank You! -the original battery in my unit was a Sanyo CR2032 which is a 3V battery.

thanks mate - gives me confidence to do it :) when i changed the battery i noticed the solder joints were dry and cracked on pretty much every input and output so i reflowed them and its all goood.

Yes it's an old machine but the quality of the verbs are surprisingly good!

If it's 3v it will work.

You don’t have to take the board out. The bottom of the unit comes off.

Yes for only recplacing the battery this is handy but after all for these kind of work its faster this way to flip the pcb.

Do you know if this is the same approach for an SPX1000? I’m a complete novice at this sort of thing, my battery died last week. I have just ordered a new battery unit. This video has been very informative. Hopefully I am as successful as you. I wonder if the bottom of the board comes off the SPX1000? I hope so!

@@christopherrothwell7217 I am very sure it can be fixed the same way since battery changing should not be a hazzle after all,. For the spx1000 there maybe is a clip for the battery so you don´t even have to heat up your iron ;)
