How to replace the battery on DELL Inspiron 13 7000 2 in 1 Laptop | Dummy proof guide

In this video I'm showing you how to easily remove the cover and replace the battery on the Dell Inspiron 13 7000 2 in 1 laptop.
For the battery, I recommend always buying original battery from Dell, if you cannot find one, then you should be able to find a generic one from amazon -
For the model: 7000 7373 7386 2 in 1 7370 7380, the battery should be a 38Wh, part number F62G0 - amzn.to/3oPfXtP
For Model 13-5000 13-7000 15-5000 15-7000 17-5000 Series 7378 7368 5368 5378 5379 7560 7569 7570 7579 5565 5567 5568 5578 5767 5765 7460, this should be a 42Wh,

To remove the battery from the portable, you will need a small phillip screwdriver. Turn off the laptop and put it upside down. Remove the 9 screws on the bottom of the inspiron 13. Insert a small piece of metal and pry open the bottom cover. Now remove the 4 screws securing the battery and disconnect the battery from the motherboard.
Put in the new battery, connect the cable and put the screws back. Put back the cover and the 9 screws and you are all set

Thank you. This was a very helpful video. I'm going to order the battery today. My only grip with the video was the music you inserted half way through replacing your verbal comments. I would rather have heard your comments as you replaced the battery. The music was distracting.

Thank you, I replaced my battery myself. However, my computer wouldn't come on without the a/c adaptor being plugged in to the power socket. Also it keeps shutting off when not plugged in although it is at 100%. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix that issue?

Hi I have replace my battery recently. It seems like there is no communication between my laptop to the new battery. I cannot turn on without AC charger. After turn on with AC, the battery can only hold for 3-5mins and it suddenly shut down completely itself. is there anyway to let my laptop communicate with the battery?

yes, you can do that, It will work just fine. But as soon as you disconnect the charger the laptop will turn off

how long have you been using the battery? if it's over 3-4 years, chances are it's not holding charge properly, it also becomes bulky (you'll need to physically inspect it), you could also try running a test on the battery . www.dell.com/support/article/en-us/sln143156/how-to-check-battery-health-status-on-dell-laptops?lang=en

Ain't NO 42WH battery in the 13 7000 2 in 1, its a F62G0 11.4V - 38WH - why the misinformation ? - I need a new battery so I figured not to trust your vlog, opened my unit and discovered I have the 38WH not what your saying, the battery is a long oblong unit not a big square unit like the 42WH you show as it wont physically fit - people check your unit DONT order a 42WH. Order a 38WH F62G0 / 11.4 V. $72 on ebay.
