I tought even if the air in compressor is finished, it should have blown hot air. What else could account for this, eg. fuse and which and where can I locate?

+Emmanuel Danso If your hearing a noise when you turn on the ac it could be the compressor just turning on.You will need to locate the blower fan and check it with a test light for power and ground.

What is the ohms on the Cam sensor my old one has .844 and the new 1.902 between the positive and ground. I have 5v on plug But it runs better with the old one. I looks to me like false contact because it got really ruff when backing up in my driveway. Before I clean the sensor and the plugs I get a P0341 on stored codes, The other sensor that I chech is the one on the vvt is ok clean the plugs on both from little oil. Any ideas is ruff on idle it runs almost normal on 2000 rpms driving it. I did replaced the timing kit with the updated tensioner, the pvc, purge valve, maf sensor, hoses from pvc valve to turbo & intake, 4 New injectors and plugs, because one got stuck open. Water pump etc. Thank you in advance

Ok this is perfect, my car has the same problem. I'm going to add some "extra" words here to hopefully help the KZbin algorithm send people to this video if they have the same problem. Sorry if it sounds like semi nonsense. I have a 2010 VW volkswagen CC Passat and my AC / heater / climate control fan only works on high. Hopefully this video will help me fix it.

Is it always only the high setting works? My AC occasionally stops working at all. All lights in dash come on but no air coming out. Then after I mess with the switch or sometimes the next day, it works again. Could it be the same thing? '12 Volkswagen CC

I have a 07 Jetta. When I turn on the AC one of the cooling fans turns on and then off and then back on but when it's on it's super fast and loud. This pattern is constantly. The fan towards the passenger side does not turn on. Is it possibly the cooling fan resistor??

Hi Jim, This was an awesome video!! I was quoted over 500.00 for the dealer to fix this issue! I now have a problem with my driver side door. It seems I can't open the door from the outside but I can open the door from the inside. I pulled it apart but am not too confident in my ability to do the fix. I have a late model 05 Jetta. Sometimes the fan hardly blows and will work again 5 to 10 minutes later. It seems to do that more while using the AC. Would replacing the resistor possibly fix the issue? All of the control lights work when turning the speed dial.

Kyle Johnson Most likely it is the resistor, but you need to test it when it's not working.

How do you know whether it's the resistor or the motor that's causing the problem? I turn on my heat and I get a loud kind of grinding noise, the airflow decreases then stops all together whether it's on low or high. Turn off the car let it rest then it works again for a bit.

How about the fan for a 2004 GMC Yukon Denali XL... front fan stopped working... but fan itself still works when hard wired.

+Scirby Scott Yes you will need to check the resistor first.Here is the procedure.Keep me posted .Jim REMOVAL PROCEDURE If equipped, remove the IP sound insulator. Disconnect the electrical connection from the blower motor. Disconnect the electrical connection from the blower motor resistor. Remove the blower motor resistor retaining screws. Remove the blower motor resistor.

Check the resistor you will find it is burnt out.
