How to replace the brakes on a Skoda Felicia/Favorit and Caddy II pickup.

This week the Skoda Felicia fun gets new front brakes. Of course it is the same on all the Felicia's I and II, Skoda Favorit and Volkswagen Caddy II pickup.

It did come with the flathead screw got a combi and got the same screw. Great videos really helpful.

Is ATE paste actually a silicone paste?

I had that question before, and dit some research. The ate spec sheet doesn't specify this unfortunately. But it has to be silicone based else it wouldn't be suitable for silicone based brake fluid. My conclusion, it's silicon based but probably not 100%.

@@TheDutchGarage Thanks for the quick reply. Yeah, I can't find anything on what's it's made of either. But it's not suitable for silicone based brake fluid. I copied this from 'ate brake cylinder paste' tehnical datasheet: "The brake cylinder paste is used for hydraulic brake systems designed for operation with brake fluid based on polyglycol ethers according to the standards FMVSS 116 (DOT 3, DOT 4, DOT 5.1), SAE J1703 and DIN ISO 4925. It is not planned for usage in brake systems with a silicone or mineral oil based hydraulic fluid"
