Thank you, thank you, thank you... for the comment about putting cardboard under the old filter before removing. We replaced the filter in my mother-in-law's car yesterday. A mouse had built a nest on top of the filter. There was so much "nest stuff" (along with a dead mouse...) we had to vacuum out. This would have been a nightmare had it fallen down into the fan.

Okay did that lol my fan is running the air is blowing better there was leaves on my filter ~ but what if the fan runs there's coolant in your car and you change the filter but where the cold air should blow they're still hot air? I checked the freon and that's still good.
