Aftermarket exhaust is a must on any bike. Great vid!
@Martijn000959 жыл бұрын
you guys forgot one important step! When you have installed the pipe, you always want to clean it before you start it or take a ride. Most of the time you hands will get dirty with oil or other stuff while working. this stuff will get on your exhaust and burn in when the exhaust gets hot fore the fist time. its better to clean it before you start it...

Call the manufacturer directly and ask. I put a full race dual exhaust Akropovic on my 2011 Ninja 1000 and they said no, that the system is made to run as-is. Reason is that bikes these days are fuel injected, and the O2 sensor tells the ECU the correct fuel mix without the use of a Power Commander. If it's a carburetor bike, YES, along with a jet kit, but most kits are made to bike on and

Is the header pipe necessary for this application? I have the faired version of this bike and don't want to deal with pulling off plastic. Will I miss out on some power with just the slip-on?

hi could you make video on how to check and clean O2 sensor.. thanx
@ElProfeMoto7 жыл бұрын
Sorry for my ignorance, but what the O2 sensor and the ground wire do?
@jh383zx6 жыл бұрын
El Profe the o2 sensor mesures the air fuel ratio so that the fuel injectors can keep the bike from running too rich or lean. The ground wire i think is to supply the grounding for the o2 sensors because they require electricity, so by grounding it it’ll take that path rather than electrocuting you.

What about using a heat-resistant sealant where the muffler connects with the header?
@Wabbit19619 жыл бұрын
Not needed. Gaskets only.
@Wabbit19619 жыл бұрын
Oops... Sorry, thought you were talking where the header connects to the head. Still though, don't use any sealant at the muffler end. It's unnecessary.

Hey guys, I need to ask an important question. Do you gain or lose power when you install a slip on exhaust AND don’t tune your motorcycle? Does your fuel economy go down or up in the slightest? DONT SAY, it barley does anything, I more of want a specific answer. Really trying to decide if the 300$ PC and 300$ dyno tune shop in my town are necessary. If I’m losing anything, I won’t go. But if my engine is running hotter, less HP, and less gas eco, EVEN in the slightest, then it’s worth it. But if I gain even the slightest, 1%, I’m perfectly fine with leaving it alone. I’m not looking for real gains, but making sure my motorcycle is running efficiently. I own a 2017 HONDA CBR1000RR
@zhangjiaji68676 жыл бұрын
In my opinion, when you install a slip-on, you dont need to tune it, since most of the exhaust will stay the same. If you install a slip-on from a good brand, it will likely improve your hp. MC Garage mentions it in the video about aftermarket exhausts vs stock exhausts, there is a little segment about slip-ons. Hope this helps!
