How to replace the light switch - Audi A4 B6/B7

Quick tutorial on replacing the headlight switch on most Audi's.

Did you just snap the twisting part of the cap off? The part that connects with the white piece?

Twist and snap softly, then the center white piece will be visible; use something sharp and get the clips out, just like what I did in the video !

How’d you get that white center piece to slide off so easily? Mine it stuck in there good

It has a pin or two, press them down with a knife or a thin flat screw driver

This piece was so cheap from Aliexpress, shipped within 1 month or so, but you still can ask parts stores for original parts !

Fuck that, go to a junkyard and get the whole part for 5 bucks. Doesnt get cheaper than that.

I replaced mine and now my headlights are always on when I turn on the ignition. Tried everything and still not able to fix it.

Try to put back the old switch, if the problem disappears, then the new switch you purchased has a faulty plug!

@@omaroubry1999 I unhooked the switch and the lights behaviors the same as I mentioned before. I got the switch from Amazon and it was relatively cheap. It makes me think that it can be the switch! As soon as I get a new one I’ll update here! Thanks!
