Do you happen to know what type of bolt is used to connect the diff to the brake rotor?

Easier than pulling the hub and removing the cv axle from the wheel hub. Simply pull both control arms and remove the entire wheel hub and axle assembly. The bearings are sealed so no use greasing, if there’s no use greasing why take it apart. Other than that great video

It's pretty much a plastic bushing for the spring

It’s called a dampener. These are notorious to make a racket when worn. It’s like a cushion for when the drive shaft slides.

Yes, you have to remove the rear gearcase to replace the rotor. If you can get the driveline off without doing that, then go for it. This is the easiest way I know of though, I do like the tip in the comment below. -Charles

190ft pounds? The service manual say 300ft pounds

that’s a lot of work just to change that rotor to be honest.
