Good job. It works. I am getting ready to do this. I would think the hard board spacers you added would disintegrate over time leaving a gap and possibly make the bolts loose. You might check that. Might be better to use stainless steel or aluminum as a spacer or nothing.

It's actually Galvanic corrosion (also called bimetallic corrosion or dissimilar metal corrosion) not electrolysis.

4 bolts around the frame would not weaken the frame. a few layers of tar paper would stop the corrosion

I had the issue as you. Someone told me to put peel and stick tar paper where you put the starboard.

Use the aluminum spacer so it corroded and not ur trailer

I cant believe there are no brakes on that trailer. Would have been a good time to add at least 1 axle.

As bad as you've let your axles get I can see why your not buying new bolts and washers.
