It is really nice to see a battery/BMS for the Meepo Hurricane that does not come from Meepo. The BMS that Meepo uses is garbage. Good job!

Would this battery pack be able to integrate properly with the surge auxilary battery pack that meepo released recently?

Wondering the same thing

@ 2:41 Mboards uses an XT60-XT-90 adapter. The Aux pack will be plugged into this adapter as any splicing circuit is done. There should be zero issue with running an MBoards replacement battery with the Aux pack. I am looking at doing the same thing. My battery is starting its third year and showing wear at 900 miles. I was hoping for 1,500 miles on it, but, hey, it's a Meepo, awesome board, but expect maintenance like a Jeep. No rAgrets

@JeremyThielman Not to say that I don't believe you, but wouldn't you need to improvise with doing that? Since the the plug ins for the surge battery come with the default plug ins for their battery and the mboards battery don't come with any you know extra components that allow for splicing in the second battery.

@@punkrockpro5062 The XT-60 splicer comes in the Aux Kit: One to the Aux battery, one to the existing battery (which is where Mboards adapter is already there and the time stamp I gave) and one to the ESC, between the materials from MBoard and Meepo you wouldn't need anything else. But I think MBoards charger is weak sauce, so maybe upgrade that charger Amp for the same 12s4p internal. No prob, I'd ask the same. I just did a YT search for the install of the Aux and saw that it fits into the ESC and battery and looked simple.

@@punkrockpro5062 The only thing I see that I'm not sure about is if you want to use the Meepo GaN 8A charger for both the board and Aux pack, then I Don't think MBoard's charging port would work @ 3:01 their battery's terminal to their charging port is different than Meepo's. So you'd have a super nice Meepo GaN charger that would only work on the Aux Pack and have to use another charger for the board; 2 chargers instead of one GaN charger. If you wanted to upgrade to a better Amp charger for the MBoard battery then is it worth the few bucks difference than just ordering an internal battery from Meepo? User choice.

Looking to replace my hurricane battery as it’s no longer working fine. I was wondering if you guys had a more powerful charger, that could replicate the ~3hr charge time that the stock hurricane charger does

Good day, thank you for the video instructions. They were very clear and informative. May I ask you a question regarding upgrading the VESC for more power and performance?

Great guide! I think you missed the part to plug in the power button connector back into the ESC. Other than that, you guys make it look too easy! Can’t wait to see more guides soon!

2 things. The bms/charger y’all use is much slower the Meepo’s (I know we can upgrade it, but it’s important to note that if you plan on getting more then one charge in a day, you’ll probably need to upgrade). The second thing is that y’all go directly from the battery to the esc. This kinda sucks as there is no bms in the discharge configuration. To keep things safe you’ll at least want a fuse.
@MBoardsco Жыл бұрын
The BMS is for Charge only. This battery is bypassed and is completely unaffected by the BMS. So a more powerful one would be a waste of space. We’ve actually found that BMSs that control discharge are significantly more dangerous to the rider as this is one of the most common reasons for cut outs.
