Was there a stem protection cap on both sides or just the exhaust side

why would you need to maybe self sitting no need to lap them either this is beyond me

Shouldn’t need to remove the rockers just loosen then off the retainers and rotate the rockers out of the way and remove the springs and retainers and remove the head bolts and the valves
