How to replace water pump 2007 Prius.

Be sure to turn the engine fully off so it does not start up on its own while you’re working on it. This is for a gen 2 Prius 2004- 2009 you will need 4 litres of coolant

The water pump pulley on the front of the pump is easier to take of with the belt on and tightened down.

Yikes. Dont watch this one. First unless your goal is to change every drop you dont need to drain it. Second its pink coolant not red Third. Maintenance mode is needed to get put the bubbles. Oem pump is 80 dollars. That pump was garbage.

​@@KiwiMakerIt's a mode you can put the car in that will keep the engine running constantly. It's not necessary for bleeding the cooling system, just makes the process faster. Also while draining isn't necessary, my usual procedure is to replace the coolant anytime I service the cooling system. Can't hurt. Don't know why this guy is acting like it's the end of the world.
